Stay well and keep cool this summer

Most of us welcome the hot and sunny weather but some people are more vulnerable to the heat, such as babies and young children, those aged over 75 and people with existing medical conditions.

Whether you're staying at home, looking out for your neighbours in hot weather or jetting off somewhere hot, here are some simple tips to help the whole family to stay well and keep cool. For lots more summer health advice, visit the NHS website for help with:

New mental health support for schools in Southampton

New mental health support teams will be rolled out to a number of schools in Southampton following a successful bid for funding from the local NHS.

Southampton has been confirmed as one of 57 areas in England which will take part in the scheme.

Funded by NHS Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group, two new support teams will be put in place to support 16,000 pupils in the city.  Their focus will be on early intervention for mental health and emotional wellbeing issues for children and young people. Find out more.
