If you do need to visit a pharmacy over a bank holiday please call ahead to check they are open and have the medicine you need.

City comes together to fight dementia at WestQuay event

The local NHS has teamed up with dementia experts, including the Alzheimer’s Society and specialist nurses, for an awareness day event at WestQuay Shopping Centre on Thursday 19 May from 10am – 4pm on the ground floor.

Do you have questions about dementia? This free event will give people the opportunity to ask the experts, find out about the support available in the city and hear how to live well with dementia. 

Dr Sue Robinson, local GP and Chair of NHS Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group said: “Dementia affects over 2,000 people over 65 in Southampton, which is why it is so important that we raise awareness of the support available in our city."
