I know what you’re going through; coming together to talk about mental health

People around the city are coming together to talk about mental health. That’s the message from the local health service and City Council, who want to spread the word about the support available in the community.

Dr Sue Robinson, city GP and Chair of NHS Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said: “The health service and council are working more and more with local charities, community groups and peer support groups. Making people aware of the great resources we have here in Southampton to support their wellbeing, so they can meet and talk to others with similar experiences, is something we want to work on together as a city.

These connections complement the support we can offer as health professionals and are a really important part of recovery and helping people to stay well.”
