Local Community join together in health and social care revolution

Your community is working with the NHS and City Council to make a difference to your health and wellbeing!

That’s the message from NHS Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Southampton City Council who have begun an initiative with local community and faith groups to help local people get the maximum benefit to their health and wellbeing from what is already going on in their communities.

NHS Southampton City CCG announce new Clinical Chair

NHS Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Sue Robinson as its new Clinical Chair.

The move will continue the increased involvement of family doctors and other clinicians in buying and planning local health services for people who live in the City. Dr Robinson was elected by fellow City GPs following the retirement of Dr Steve Townsend, who has held the position since the CCG was formally established in April 2013. She will formally take up her post on 1 April 2015.
