Make sure you get your flu vaccination this winter

You are eligible for the free flu vaccine if you are pregnant, have a long term health condition are aged 65 years or over, or are a carer. Children aged 2 – 3 and school children from reception class through to year 4 are also eligible.  

It's an important, easy way to stay well this winter. Don’t delay, ask your GP, pharmacist or midwife about the free flu vaccine today.

Healthy Communities evening seminar

Thank you to everyone who attended our Healthy Communities event!

The theme of the event was be on working together with Southampton’s communities looking at all aspects of health care, including mental health, and the challenges faced every day by local NHS services.

The event was a busy and informative evening consisting of talks and workshops, and the latest information from the NHS. Find out more.

World Mental Health Day – Tuesday 10 October

This year the theme of World Mental Health Day is mental health in the workplace.

Depression and anxiety disorders are common mental disorders that have an impact on our ability to work, and to work productively. Southampton Steps to Wellbeing is a free, confidential, NHS service for to people aged 18+ offering a range of treatments for people experiencing problems with low mood/depression, anxiety, stress or other common mental health problems.
