We’re supporting Love Don’t Hate - a new community wide partnership campaign to stamp out hate crime in Southampton
A group of local advocacy organisations led by SPECTRUM, Centre for Independent Living CIC, have come together to launch a new anti-hate campaign, ‘Love Don’t Hate’, to tackle hate crime in Southampton in conjunction with National Hate Crime Awareness Week.
We are proud to support this campaign, which aims to raise awareness of hate crime in the city and promote the reporting process, and, ultimately, encourage everyone in Southampton to adopt a zero tolerance on hate crime in Southampton. This week we’re supporting National Eye Health Week, which aims to raise awareness of why eye tests are so important.
Having an eye test isn’t just about checking your vision. It is also an important check of the health of your eyes and any early signs of eye conditions, such as glaucoma. Even conditions such as diabetes or hypertension can be detected in an eye test.
Countess Mountbatten House, a much valued hospice based at the Moorgreen Hospital site in West End, Southampton, provides expert care for patients at the end of their lives and support for their families across Southampton and the surrounding communities in Hampshire.
The hospice has been diligently supported by the Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity over the past forty years.
From 1 October 2018, a new partnership is forming to run the hospice and increase the fundraising capabilities.
Mountbatten, the charity responsible for running the Mountbatten Hospice and other end of life services on the Isle of Wight, will be partnering with the existing team at the Countess Mountbatten House and charity team.
